Sunday Morning Mix

Allergens are highlighted in the ingredients lists of our products in BOLD type.  We try to make sure that our identification is in depth and clear.  We do use outside additions (ie. food colouring, sprinkles, chocolate, etc), where available, we include their complete ingredients within our ingredients list to help you make better informed decisions.

While every effort is made to avoid cross contamination, all of our products are manufatured in a mixed kitchen so please keep that in mind prior to ordering.

We bake fresh to order so while we get your order out to you quickly, some orders may take 3-5 days to process.  

We ship do internationally.

1. Measure out 250g of the pancake mix into a large mixing bowl.

2. Beat 1 egg/ egg substitute/ a ripe banana, about 305ml of milk/soya milk/non-dairy alternative/ water, 60ml of melted butter/vegan butter/ veg oil, and a tsp of vanilla together in a different bowl.

3. Pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and stir just enough to moisten the flour mixture. It should look a little lumpy. (If you overwork the mixture, the pancakes will be tough.) This is a thick batter (like cake batter) but if it seems too thick (like brownies), add a bit more milk.

4. Heat a griddle or non-stick pan over medium heat and coat it with butter or vegetable oil. Wait until fully heated (drop a drop of water on the surface... if it sizzles its ready. Drop the batter from a large spoon (I make 3 x 3” pancakes in my pan) and cook until the first side is golden brown or until the top surface bubbles pop and the edges are matte. Flip and cook until the other side is golden brown. This happens quickly so peek after 30 seconds and watch carefully! Adjust the heat setting if necessary. Add a little more butter between batches. Serve immediately. Best served with maple syrup and made together with someone you love on a lazy Sunday morning.

**Play with it, add some ingredients like blueberries or bananas into your batter before you cook it… possibilities are endless.  Just make it your own!

 

WAFFLE Variation:   Add an additional 15ml of veg oil to mix.

BELGIAN WAFFLE Variation:  Add an additional 15ml of oil and 10g active dry yeast to the mix and set in the fridge overnight.
